The City of Rochester, in partnership with the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, is focusing resources to address poverty within a targeted geographic city location, the
ACT Rochester developed a Racial/Ethnic Disparities Report that demonstrates disparities existing from birth through adulthood that is kept evergreen with the most recent information available.
The Democrat and Chronicle worked in conjunction with ACT Rochester and the Rochester Area Community Foundation in 2012 and 2015 to commission a poll of Monroe County residents on racial opinions.
Developed by Facing Race, Embracing Equity’s five action and change workgroups, the Racial Equity Community Agenda includes 20 strategic and measurable goals. Solutions to these goals, which can be implemented in the next three to five years, are intended to break down barriers caused by structural racism in the areas of housing, health disparities, jobs and economic opportunities, education, and criminal justice.
